SoCG 2011: Broader, bigger and (hopefully) better

The SoCG 2011 call for papers is out, see here. The key new tidbit:

Anticipating the usual high overall quality of submissions, the program committee intends to accept more papers than was typical in previous years. Also, we intend to interpret the scope of the conference broadly, and will accept all papers of high quality that are of significant interest to our research community. The conference venue in Paris is attractive and allows a bigger conference than previous years.

My understanding: If you have a good paper that should be of interest to people doing computational geometry, then SoCG would be a good venue for it. This include topics like high dimensional stuff, metric spaces, data-structures, justifying using research funding to visit Paris, etc.

Abstract deadline: November 22, 2010.
Paper deadline: December 1, 2010.
