Save location in emacs

Emacs can remember your location in the file you are editing, so next time you open it, emacs jumps to your old location. Put in your .emacs:
;;; Save place in buffer
(setq save-place-file "~/.emacs.d/saveplace") ;; keep my ~/ clean
(setq-default save-place t) ;; activate it for all buffers
(require 'saveplace) ;; get the package
