Here is a semi-interesting blog entry about women, and what bugs should be fixed before the next release. But what I found interesting was that the author mentions that he asked somebody to draft their own recommendation letter. Thats seems grossly unethical to me. No?

Strangely, this seems to be a common practice. Bad.

  1. I think we are dealing with primitive notions much more basic. When it comes to initiating relationships women are expected not to initiate, and look their best to attract attention. Men have to learn to overcome their shyness. As a result for a woman there’s repression on one hand, and living in a world where opportunities are usually flowing your way, and the main job is screening. Some would probably say it’s irrelevant, but I think it has allot to do with it. And things do change, but in these cases very slowly.
