Putting small figures off to the right like that and letting the text flow around them can be an effective method of saving space. I’m working on a paper (not yet publically available) that uses that technique. But
(1) the gap between the figures and the text is too small making it hard to follow how the text flows and where the caption is,
(2) you have too many of these figures in too close succession on page 12, and
(3) pushing into the actual page margin is bad — the figures’ right sides should be flush with the text.
