## Animation in papers…

So recently I was very excited about creating an animation from an ipe figure (see here). Interestingly, it is surprisingly easy to include such an animation in a latex document and see it in the resulting pdf. You would need to use acroread to see the animation (doesn’t work for okular, too bad).

Here is a minimal latex example:
 \documentclass{article} \usepackage{animate} \begin{document} \centerline{\animategraphics% [autoplay,autoresume,width=0.8\linewidth,% controls,loop,buttonsize=4em]% {2}{figs/animation_1}{0}{22}} Animation of algorithm -- you would need acrobat reader to see the animation - click the figure to make it start. \end{document}
